Drummer, as always I hate to hear that anybody is suffering. I am a nurse and a CH sufferer as well as my mother. My thoughts are with you. I have a list given to us by a leading neuro MD in SFUC It goes a little somthin' like this....
Verelan 360-600mg per day. If that fails try nifedipine at 10 - 15mg per day then if that fails try nicardipine at 90 - 150mg per day. If that doesn't work try gabapentin at 600 to 1800mg per day My mother got ok for up to 3600mg and most are helped at 2700mg per day. If all else fails try the phenelzine. The verelan worked for my mother for almost two years then suddenly stopped. We are now waiting for lab results. It's hard on the liver so that may be way drugs just stop working.. I am working on a theory that if she takes a drug holiday the verelan will work again. She is started on the Verelan again now Wish us luck. And good luck to you!!
