A non rebreather has check valves that direct the flow of air into your lungs, when you exhale, the check valves redirect the air outside of the mask, also has that large plastic bag for intermediate storage of the O2, this gives you the greatest percentage of oxygen and is the quickest way to dump a CH not to mention the pain. My medical supply store sells them with an 8' hose for about five bucks, not worth fooling with, they can be washed, after a while only the elastic band wears out, I put a square knot on one side, pull and loop on the other, but you can buy elastic from a fabric shop, probably not in green, but who cares, not a fashion thing. Still say a concentrator is the best and still some good deals on ebay and a lot cheaper in the long run from buying tanks and hauling them back and forth and you know the condition of the air going into it.
