and very useful in a debate and the anti-inflamatory properties makes a dead tired body feel light, but don't try to fly off a ten story building, and if you are not tired, why waste time trying to go to bed. If it worked just as good the 2nd day as the first day, would be the greatest medication in the world, but that's where the fun ends, pus pockets, water retention, joint pain, fragile bone structure, and shut down of the auto-immune system are the nasty side effects, a common cold can kill some people and with others the shut down of the adrenial grands may be permanent. Wilson's Principles of Internal Medicine devotes a full chapter on prednisone, worth reading. I limit my intake of prednisone to about 500 mg per year which I think is conversative as my son was on as high as 300 mg per day, if you can find two doctors that agree on prednisone, that would be a miracle in itself. I only buy Deltasone, the name brand, it is better than the generics and the price is the same, for my son, the last time we paid $8.20 for a bottle of 100 20 mg tablets. Worse tasting medication in the world, when my son and I tease each other, instead of saying go to hell, we say, all go suck on a prednisone.
