Far as I know, no direct link between stress and CH. However, CHs
seem to come during *relaxation*. That's perhaps why so many of us
get them at night, after we've gone to sleep.

Also, stress *is* related to pain, and vice versa. We must make some
effort to keep from getting too stressed while in the midst of a CH,
and especially a succession of CHs. The more we can learn about pain
and its mechanisms, the better armed we are to deal with the pain
experience.

And to answer a couple of questions posed under this thread, Imitrex
and O2 are both abortive therapies, intended to abort a given headache
while its happening. Imitrex, especially the shots, work each and every
time; the downside is they are expensive and I believe one can get into
a drug/CH cycle induced by too much Imitrex. Imitrex apparently can
cause heart attack ... that's why it's intake is limited to two in 24 hrs.
O2 is cheaper by the tankload, but for me, it doesn't always work and
sometimes it works very quickly, but then I'm up an hour later with
another. By the second or third of the night, I'll do a nasal spray of
Imitrex along with the O2, just to get some sleep.
