If I were at a shopping mall with someone, I would ask them to get me a cup of hot coffee and leave me to ride it out. Or perhaps I would ask them to get me to my car heater or take me home as quickly as possible.

Out on the road - I would ask to stop for hot coffee. Someone else might want to get a drink with ice in it.

Sometimes these little abortive measures can prevent escalation of the pain for me. I wonder if this is true for others.

At home I might want someone to heat water or bring me my hair dryer if I have an unexpected attack. Otherwise, I appreciate it if they just ignore me, so, I suppose I would try to treat another clusterhead the way I wanted to be treated.
