There are those of us who do have a tendency to look at the other person and know what they are going through. I have supported my husband being chronic for 4 years now. Some wouldn't understand especially when the money is thin and the sufferer is hurting and not working, some just wouldn't understand giving up that much of their life. It is a choice that the supporters have to make and I once I made that choice to stand beside Donald in our struggles to be a family and a functional family after 4 years we are seeing signs that it is working after all our long hard times we are having some good times. I would say the more your wife knows the better. Knowledge helps them understand that you are really going through something. I wish you the best and welcome to the family.
