No one on this board can or should tell another what to do with their lives or how to treat pain. I have been a chronic sufferer for many years. I am glad that the Oxycontin has brought you some relief from the unbearable pain. I'm sure your doctor has warned you that it is a very addictive drug if you take it for very long.
There is another problem that you should be aware of. Addicts are robbing drug stores AND legal users to get their hands on this drug. Never let anyone know that you are using it. Don't mean to frighten you. Just a word of warning. Our sherriff was recently caught in a drug raid buying Oxycontin. It has become a very popular drug for addicts. Glad you've found some relief, though!
