But not as a first line of defense. I take zomig to abort my ha. If that fails than I take percacet, vicodin, etc. (whatever the drug of the week is. I rotate to avoid a tolerance build up.) If that fails then take stadol ns. If that fails I go to ER. No fun! I have found narcotics to help me on many occassions but I have also found narcotics to do nothing for me on a few occassions. I think it is important to stress that we need to work with our drs. until we find a preventative that will work and/or an abortive that will work for us that isn't narcotic. With ch depending on narcotics to much can leaad us down a road we don't want to go. Just a word of caution not judgement. It took me 3 years of chronic ha and no preventative meds and reling mostly on narcotics and zomig and oxygen. Then one day the oxygen quit working so I had even less. But then I found a preventative in LIthium and my life changed and my ha stopped. So, yes I have used them but they are not a magic bullit it stopping the
pain or preventing it. You need to keep looking for more answers. Hope I helped some. Any questions feel free to email me.
