for a year or more I did the ice thing and then one day I realized it wasn't really helping, it was all in my head. It does work for some or at least help. I always suggest imitrex injections as a drug of choice, my ha disapears anywhere from 5 to 20 mins after injecting. If you havent tried that or oxygen yet give it a try. Good luck
