Oxycontin has the same ingredient as percodan or percocet..but it is long lasting (12 hours) where percodan and percocet is not. Vicodan and loratabs are made of hydrocodone and they are also short acting. The drugs with oxycodone are stronger than the ones with hydrocodone. Again, I can only speak for myself but the only thing that works when I am having a cluster is imitrex or zomig. Narcotics do not touch that kind of pain for me. Hope this helps some. smile, nancyc
