Here's my story

I've had these things for three years now. They started about a year after my eye surgery. The first year and a half I was chasing my optomotrist, my allergist and my GP. Last spring my GP suspected CH and I went to a neuro who knew exactly what it was. Gave me o2 (which saved me) fianol/cod (sp?) (doesn't help much), methy... dose packs (no help), then sancert a few times (no help), then verapimil (no help), then lithium (300mg first which gave me 2 weeks pain free), now 600mg (no help so far). I'm now considered chronic. Immitrix NS is a life saver.
I'm so glad I found this page, so much information. I've learned alot this week and check this page daily now. Even though I'm considered chronic, I don't think I have it as bad as some. Mine are very predictable, 9pm - 1am, 1-2 per night, 5 nights per week. No lengthy breaks for the last year. (2 wks tops). My secret for sanity has been my lazy boy chair in the bedroom. I've found that taking a fianol and 5 ibuprifens at the onset, use the o2, through in an immitrix if the o2 does'nt cut it, then sleep sitting up until the danger zone passes (past 3am). If I go back to bed after arresting the first one, they will most certainly come back.
Looking forward to hearing more.

Pat,

Dallas, Tx
