a tumor in my spit gland taken out way back in 11/99. The ENT doc said I should recover completely and be set to go. Well I needed the tumor out it could have turned into Cancer so I went ahead and had it done. The spit gland had to be removed and there are all kinds of nerves in your face that go out like a hand. The Doctor did very well at getting it out and not damaging a nerve. It has been going on 2 years and took a year for my eye to quit drooping so I could occasionally wear eye shadow or show expressions like raising my eyebrows. The numbness well that is still there. Not a lot of numbness but it is very tender to the touch so when Caleb grabs me sometimes it will send me through the roof. Just to let you know my own experience with face surgery. A nerve is a nerve and by anyother name it would still be a nerve if you get my drift.
