0.5 ml is a standard dose of Imitrex Injection. For me, half that is usually enough to abort a CH attack although it does take a little longer to happen. I should mention that I'm a fairly big guy at 6'2" and 215lbs.
The nice thing about a half dose is that I don't get the tightness in the chest and usually feel perfectly fine in about 10 mins. Perfectly good to drive as well.
