So much for Melatonin

Day 5 of my new cluster.

Well, after one night of no pain (Wednesday) I thought the Melatonin was doing the trick. Thursday and Friday night I was ripped out of a deep sleep by that little guy in my head with his trusty hatchet. He was chopping on nerve endings like locusts in a field of corn. I got rid of them after 20 minutes with my head in the fridge. On the up side of this experience I have witnessed the development and distribution of ice cubes from my ice maker.

I was contemplating the extreme exercise suggestion as an abortive measure but it was 2 am and I didn’t want to wake up to the point where I couldn’t get back to sleep. I have had these headaches so many times I can get out of bed and walk to the freezer without opening my eyes. I still haven’t had to take the injection. I’ll save those for the days when I think about how life is not worth living.
