60, 40, then 20 mg doses, from what I can gather, there are no set side effects, some gain weight, some loose weight, some makes no difference. Doc told her to try it on a weekend as some get sleepy and should be taken at night, others get charged up and should take in the morning, For her, it was a weight gainer and a charger so she took it in the morning. The big change I noticed in her was that she was very sensitive and shy, would break into tears if she thought someone made a negative comment. The Prozac made her more assertive. She was put on that for OCD, but that didn't make much difference, Zuloft works much better for her.

Over the last 20 years or so, seems like it was Xanax, then Valium, now Prozac as the most widely over prescribed drugs. My daughter happen on the net one night and read all the horror stories about Prozac, then refused to take it anymore.

I saw a 48 Hours program where strep throat may be the cause of OCD where the auto immune system attacks the part of the brain causing conceptions to go haywire. That kind of relates to her as she had strep then went haywire later on. Watched some early videos and she was such a happy child. Sometimes I think CH's are also an auto-immune problem, no reason for the body to way over react to even the slightest trigger. Certainly a lot of room for reseach.
