Yeah, if you've got a blender, making an orange juice smoothie is a great way to down them. Unlike the hot tea method, though, there is still the potential gas problem for those who are prone to it. I'm not, but my girlfriend is.

She took 3/4 of a gram of freshly dried Psilocybe cubensis from my garden to see if it would help her with her PMS. She diced them up and downed them in a glob of molasses. She did get kinda gassy. The only other side-effects were a few giggle fits and and an especially deep sleep afterwards.

She has always suffered from severe moodiness associated with PMS. She was thinking of asking her doc for some Prozac. We did some reading on the connection between fluctuating serotonin levels and female hormones associated with severe PMS and thought that psilocybin might help.

It did. It has now been three periods since her only dose and she says that the emotional distress has diminished to virtually zero, and even the physical discomfort of PMS has decreased substantially.

Although this is not directly related to CH, it does supply supporting evidence to the theory that the reason psilocybin is so effective in treating CH is that it "resets" a defective serotonin-regulating mechanism for an extended period.

Fascinating, no?
