Recently diagnosed with CH. I am a 40 year old male. Never had headaches
like these before in my life... They started about 3 months ago and are
still increasing in frequency and duration. Currently 3-4 episodes a day. I
keep hoping that the cycle will end soon and that I am not chronic...
I am taking Imitrex 50mg tablets, they work about 75% of the time, but take
60 minutes to kick in. And you know what that 60 minutes feels like... I am
looking for alternative treatments. Hopefully preventative rather than
reactive.
The reason I am writing (beyond just connecting with someone who understands
what I am going through) is to ask about local medical support here in the
Boston area.

You recommended Dr. Paul Blachman. What can you tell me about him? How long
has he been treating you? What kind of treatment program does he have you
on? And most importantly... does it work?
Any help or information at all would be greatly appreciated.
