No need to be sorry, anyone who has walked in your shoes knows the feeling. I've lived with the beast most of my life, was chronic in my 40s and am now episodic. I too have given a lot of thought to the ultimate cure and have even come up with ways to make it look either accidental or natural. But I know that sooner or later the beast will quiet down for a while and I can get on with life.
