hi Greg my first neuro used prednisone to break my cycle, Once the meds got in my system good, the cycle ended. The draw back is it only worked for me to break the cycle it didn't prevent the next cycle from coming on. I also take varapimil once a day and it worked fine for eight months but then the h/a started again so now my neuro has me on neurontin 100mg three times a day along with the verap.
