My husband'd doc finally started him on the pred last week, and he is doing great. The 60 mg started working immediately..1st nite..all nite..is now tapering and still doing fine..on 8th pain free day. One other time when when he took it, the ch's broke thru with the tapering doses and we went back to the previous dose for about 5 days....I truly believe the pred broke the cyle...Good Luck!!
