It's said this is a home and family for some people here. When I was younger and had family meals I never remember discussing what makes us have a common bond very often (although here I prefer it to be CHs talked about more). We'd talk about lots of things though. I also would never have expected some stranger to walk in the house, sit down and start talking, especially about their family.
