You struck a familiar note with me. When I get a 10, after about 2 hrs of misery I'd wind up getting nauseated from the pain and cafergot. I also noted that when I'd throw-up, the HA would go away. I've now attributed that to the physical exertion of retching with the dry heaves. I used to do the finger down the throat thing to make myself sick and end the HA. This last cluster I took that one step farther and tried physical exertion at the onset of the HA. When one started, I'd take my meds (cafergot & lidocaine spray) and then do squats until I couldn't do any more. The HA would go away in 5 mins. Sounds like you may be a candidate for the same treatment.
