You did not mention Oxygen in your post, and I hope your husband has tried it.
I used Lithium for a period, and it actually broke a period when it was suspected I went Chronic.
It has ceased to work at all for me, and I had a bit of a problem with side effects. None that warranted stopping usage of it.
There is some information on what is refered to as "the water treatment" in the message archives.
