they strike with regularity
at night when victims helplessly
wish things were like they used to be.
when darkness charged no special fee
and days were spent so peacefully.
explosions now relentlessly
make life seem hell and death seem free -
as bombing rages on TV
i sense a similarity
between the Balkan war and me!
each bombing spree and refugee
gives me a sense of irony ...
does warfare periodically
cause Mother Earth to pray that she
might also just be headache free?
just flowed off my pen last night watching the news. do ya think Ma Earth feels our human war foibles as a galactic CH? bombs every night during war ... wars every so often mediated by remissions ... shadows of war between 'episodes'?
spooky, huh?
