Hi Katrina, I'm a female cluster sufferer, for 23 years now. I'm glad you approached the social side of it. It's difficult to explain it to people. Everyone tells you to take some aspirin. It gets tiring trying to explain to family and friends and only my wonderful husband sees the pain I am in. I, as the majority of sufferers, get a knot at the back of my head, right side, next to the back of my ear. As I am shaking my legs and rocking back and forth (this seems to aid in getting my mind off the excruciating pain) with my head in a pillow, my husband rubs the knot very gently. It has been helping. The bad part is I get 6-10 and usually at night. My guilt (sufferers are very good at hiding their pain in a room by themselves. My room that I hide in is the cold, hard tile of the bathroom floor.) won't allow me to wake him. When I have a headache in the morning a hot cup of coffee with sugar does very well at alleviating the pain. That is the bad part of clusters tho, it comes back. My best to you and your husband. You're a good person and my prayers are with your family. Michelle
