Its been approx.3-months since ive posted,back in november 2000,my dr. put me on the comb.of verapamil and lithium,at that time i was in my third month of my cycle(they always last 8-9 months)well the meds.performed a miracle,after about a week on them i was getting only 1-2 clusters a week(i normally get 2-5 a day)then all of a sudden they dissapeared(every one of my cycles have lasted 8-9 months at a time,no more no less)i told my dr. that i wanted off the meds. he warned me that even though i am not getting the attacks that they are still there,that the meds.are battling them,well as stuborn as i am i had to do it my way,and we tappered me off of the meds.(approx.3-weeks)when i say they dissapeared i was clusterfree for about a month and a half,finally being off of the meds.,it was 36-hours before my first attack,since then,they are attacking me day and night for the past 3-months,for whatever reason the lithium and verapamil stopped workink for me,but i continue to take it hoping that it will perform that second miracle.i guess im sharing this just in case there is someone else out there that wants to come off of their meds.,LISTEN TO YOUR DR.
