Know what - you're both right.
My personal opinion:
I can't change anyone here, so I'm not going to try. I'm going to accept them just as they is. If people don't like the way I am - that's their problem and I'm sure not going to deal with it. I've tried to apply this philosophy the last year and life sure has gotten peaceful.
