prescribe it for clusters when they don't know of another better medication for it. It is a bp medicine, a beta blocker. I was on it for many years for a heart rythym problem and bp and it didn't do a thing for my cluster headaches. My son was also on it for clusters, but it didn't help him either.
I was taken off of it as whenever I developed a cold with a cough, the cough would linger for about three months after the cold was over. I am now on Toprol for bp. and it is doing an excellent job.
