I know people who have been through this before with a neurologist (my wife included). Call and explain that you are in extreme pain and you want an appointment ASAP. If necessary yell and scream at them; and get names. If all else fails and you have insurance, call the number on your insurance card and tell them you want an appointment right now, today would be fine.
