A constant headache can be a 'rebound' effect from cluster or migraine medication taken on a regular basis. Vicadon or any opiate derivative is not suggested for cluster sufferers due to the daily and regular basis in which it must be used to quell the oncoming pain. This is an easier path to a larger problem. Off the shelf Excedrin Migraine can be replaced at times to diminish the attacks before they get worse as well as Fioricet/Esgic. Imitrex is a proven relief also. Your doctor can just as easily prescribe these which have a much much less dependancy factor.
