I used to work with MR/ED (mentally retarded/emotionally disturbed. Not the horse) teens and had to put and hold people in restaint sometimes. I think it gets worse faster when you're in a situation like you were in and get hit (with a CH. A hit from one of them could be refreshing comparatively). Luckily there was someone I could call out to to take over for me before it got to high on the scale. I'm sorry you had to get hit just then and when your day was already bad enough.
