My first attacks were always right sided. As my last episodic bout finished they moved to the left.
The pain seemed less on the left, but it may have been because the bout was subsiding.
Since going chronic in 95 99% of my attacks have been on the left, but the right sided ones always seemed worse. That is until the last month, when they've been switching sides like mad, and though at the start the right sided seemed worse, there's now little difference. It's almost as if the temple region gets inured to the pain, and after a few attacks the numbness reduces the pain slightly.
Had a couple of attacks recently where I haven't been able to work out which side they're going to be. The precursors affect both equally, and then it eventually settles on one side or the other.
Weird thing this demon!
