As for my part, I was careless. As too many Americans, it's easy to fall into the love it or leave it trap. For some reason, we are isolationist in our thinking. I like to think I'm not, but it slips out now and then.
We are not the only people who have helped keep this ball from destroying itself. I hate to admit it but you have made some very enlightening points, and frankly, you are right in most of what you said, especially that this isn't something worth a lot of attention. I think we should admit we get a certain amount of pleasure in this kind of thing. I'm as guilty as the next.
