My MD prescribed Siblium (5mg flunarizine capsules) which, like Verapamil, is a calcium channel blocker. Sibelium, however, appears to have been engineered specifically for migraines; the box even says "Prophylaxis of migraine with and without aura". (Verapamil is an old drug which I believe was developed to lower one's blood pressure). My MD says it targets the migraine pain centers better than verapamil and has fewer side effects.

I started taking it around 6 weeks into my latest cluster series and three days later I was in remission.

As long as you're looking into calcium channel blockers I thought you might want to investigate all the options.

Good luck!
