I've been on the Duragesic patch for chronic arthritus pain since last February and had been in a blessed remission from May 5th, 2000 'til last May 25th when the beast came calling again. BUT tho I've been doing the usual one to three CHs a day (or night), I've had only one that I'd call an eight, the rest mostly fives and O2 kicked their butt. While some lingered past the 10 minute O2 abort time, in the past it was always dancing time but this time another 5 minutes on O2 did the trick. My point is; clusterheads that are getting little or no relief from the med cocktails that help many of us might consider a 1 month trial of Duragesic to see if it diminishes the pain. I doubt it will kill the beast but it might quiet it down and if your back is against the wall, why not give it a try? That is, of course if your doc will script you for it (translate expensive). It does have some nasty side effects (check onhealth.com for a complete list) but the ones I've experienced sure as hell beat banging my head against the wall. If anyone would like more info, feel free to email me. Best of luck to all.
