I have been out of work for 14 months now. I am getting SSDI and so are my 3 children. Since you spend so much time out of the country you would probably not qualify. You have to live in the US so many months. Not sure what the exact limit was. Anyway it is possible to get disability it just takes months of paperwork (aprox 6) then aprox 6 more months of waiting for a determination of if your eligable.
