Margi, it is true that a level 4 or 5 trip can be pretty awe-inspiring. There are literally no words capable of conveying even an infinitesimal part of the experience. It is something than cannot be described, only experienced.

Fortunately, as Bob pointed out, the effective dose for terminating a cycle in episodics appears to be somewhere between a level 1 and level 2. This is a COMPLETELY different ballgame... sort of like comparing the effects of sipping a glass of sherry on a Sunday afternoon to the effects of chugging a fifth of tequila in an hour at a Saturday night frat party.

Take my word for it: at level 1 or level 2, you are no more zapped than you would be after splitting a bottle of wine over dinner. The effect is DIFFERENT than alcohol (much more entertaining, in my opinion), but it is not really worrisome at all, even to complete novices.
