that my wife has of my condition. I especially appreciate that she understands the following things when I'm in cycle.
1. I don't want to have a lot of outside social contact. I keep relatives away and situations which are noisy down to an absolute minimum. I like keeping the house a little darker during this time as well.
2. During a episode, I don't want to be bugged by some constantly asking me if there's something they can do for me. She knows that if I need something I will ask for it.
At first it was difficult, because my wife didn't understand the headaches, but you seem to be right on top of things by reading the information posted here. I hope that you've surfed the rest of the site and read all you can about this type of headache.
I don't mean this to sound terse, only factual. Now, aside from the facts...I tell my wife how much I appreciate her understanding, and how much it means to me to get through a 'cycle' with as little 'hassle' as possible. I managed a 24 year Naval career with the 'beast' with some bosses who were understanding also. Communication - and making this site available to ALL of your friends and constituents might be a good place to start. Praise you for your efforts. Your mate is a lucky man.
