getting your dog to trust you and to come to you is the very first thing you have to do. after that getting it to get into the box is something they will learn wich can by having other dogs get into the box before you put your do in to let it see how its spose to do and when you do that and if your dog dose not jump on the tail gate you need to pick it up and slam it into the box but not too hard just hard enough to let him or her know that it needs to jump or eles. just hunt your dog with a good dog but if your dog goes out for the first time and finaly trees and its a opposum do not beat the dog, prasie the dog, you never want to beat or shock the dog when its just starting to tree after the dog starts treeing and is about a year old then you can puish it for treeing trash. but other than that just keep running it with good dogs.
