I was on topamax for several months, but unfortunately it did not help the HAs. As for side effects, I found that I was very spacey, and occasionally felt that I was "bouncing off the walls."
I also also had frequent tingling sensations in my arms -- all of which I would have endured, gladly, had the topamax abated the headaches.
But yes, definitely, there were side effects.
