Thanks for your response. As an example, another posting on this board mentions an article by AMA/Reuters. When I go to that article, I get the name of someone who's doing research on clusters: Dr. Gennaro Bussone of the Istituto Nazionale Neurologico in Milan. By combing this message board, and with search engines on the Internet, cluster researchers would be easier to find than in pre-Internet times.
