I understand what you're saying. But that's really qualifying the reason it would be valid for you to debate her on points. But that's not necessary here as that option is a given and expected when an opinion is stated. But it was more the tone towards her that concerned me.
I also understand your CHs began after trying to teach a copy machine to dance. I'm guessing it's a coincidence for the timing, which the law of averages would probably explain why the numbers of people who notice a correlation are so small. I don't know how long afterwards your CH began.
