Ginkgo has flavones that are very similar in action to cromolyn - it reduces histamine discharge but needs time to be effective. Unfortunately, anti-histamines have not been shown effective for clusters. Ginkgo also reduces other inflamitory molecules, like some cytokines. The other class of active molecules (bilobalides) are less studied, but have a variety of beneficial effects. I haven't seen anything linking them specifically to Clusters, but who knows??
I also had some initial sucess with melatonin, but it seemed to lose effectiveness the second cycle.
