I have had a complete hysterectomy and suffer from chronic clusters. About 14 months ago I was hospitalized with them and at that time the doc I had took me off HRT. After trying all the commercially prepared hormones I finally found a doctor who prescribed a tri-estrogen, progesterone, testosterone mix. These hormones are prepared in a compounding pharmacy for me. I did recall reading an article about testosterone being a link to cluster headaches. ( apparently they did a study of men with clusters and discovered that if they reduced the amount of testosterone in their bodies it reduced the headaches...unfortunately, other "important" parts stopped standing to attention so it wasn't a very popular solution) I no longer take the testosterone but still suffer from 4 -8 clusters daily. I don't think that estrogens play any kind of roll in clusters but maybe you should ask your doc to check your testosterone levels (even women have testosterone) Hope this helps!
