Couldn't agree more. Like the docs that refuse morphine for terminal cancer patients because it is addicting!
Solution? Move to a third world country like Belize. I did a live aboard dive trip out of Belize City a few years ago. The capt's wife (a US citizen and an MD) was aboard and treated several of us for various things. Sprains, etc but unfortunatly not CH. Ever do the cluster march on a rocking boat? The drugs she gave us (pain killers, anti inflamatories) were available over the counter in Belize City and a hell of a lot cheaper than in the states. She often shared her disgust with the drug policies in the US and felt that we, as adults should be in control, not the pols that fear losing votes by taking a sane stand.
