I dunno, Mike, but I'm going to go against what has been said to you here. First of all, if you can type at a keyboard while looking at the screen, you might not be a clusterhead. (My hubby would sooner teach the puter to fly than be able to sit that still and actually focus his eyes during an attack).
If these headaches are not waking you at night, with screaming, punch-the-wall pain, you might not be a clusterhead.
If the pain isn't coming on suddenly and then building to what we fondly refer to as a Kip 10, and then dropping off again to a Kip 1 or 2 or even nothing after about an hour, you might not be a clusterhead.
This is just my opinion and I'm certainly not trying to belittle your pain, so please don't be offended by my post.
What I do think might be happening for you, however, is something completely different. I've done quite a bit of research into candida overgrowth in relation to cluster headaches. Sensistivity to odours and resulting headache and sinus pain is a VERY common indication of candida overgrowth. Do you eat a lot of sugar, flour and dairy products? You say you quit drinking, but was beer your drink of choice? All yeast feeding products that can really throw your natural balance of gut yeast out of whack and can cause all kinds of problems, with sinus headaches right near the top of the list.
You might want to talk to a naturopath to see if maybe Candida Albicans overgrowth could be a problem for you.
Hope this helps.
Margi
