MRI and CT scan is a good idea. Most all of us have started with that. Mine took sinus x-rays and was able to eliminate that.
Also being non-medically educated, this can only be opinionated. Seems neuro thinks it is stress and depression related resulting in migraine. Perhaps a second, fresh neuro opinion is needed and tell him/her all attributes of what is affecting you. Seems hard to pinpoint and MRI and CT scan will help. If nothing shows up there, neuros tend to go the non-evident slant towards stress and depression, because it only seems something physical is unapparent.
I don't know, when what a neuro prescribes me has no affect or doesn't seem to be on the right track, I call the office back very soon and request something else be done. Then maybe they will take a more attentive look.
In the meantime for the pain, experiment with the off the shelf stuff, Tylenol, Excedrin, Motrin. They may minimize the pain somewhat. Hoping for the best in the meantime.
