I have had clusters for 26 years. Tried a lot of medications. 2 years ago I was prescribed Depakote, 500 mg/day. I think it ended my Cluster cycle a month early. They normally lasted 3 months. They also, almost always started in November, around Thanksgiving. This past year I started 1000mg of Depakote on the 1st of November. The cycle never started. I've been off the Depakote since March. Still no cycle. Is it the Depakote? I hope not. I hope the beast has gone elsewhere, for good. Will I start taking Depakote this November? You bet! Will it work on You? Who knows. But, it is worth a try. All of our meds suck as far as some possable side affects. The point is...The clusters suck even more. Good luck.
