...I'm hoping it will all be under control soon. After a full two years of four to six attacks per day, every day, with absolutely none of the medication therapies working, I went in yesterday for gamma knife. I figure the risks are really low of anything bad happening, while the odds are about two out of three or higher that it'll beat the beast. The neurosurgeon told me it averages about six weeks to get relief for people that receive the same treatment, but for trigeminal neuralgia, expects me to be the same. Said I might see it in as short as two days, but could be a year, maybe even never. I have my fingers crossed. I'm feeling good right now, good enough to be heading in to work today, even with my head being sore from having a metal frame bolted into my skull. Just hoping for the best, would love to rip my life free from the hands of the beast, then act like a little kid and "Nyah, nyah" at him. I'm hoping.
Blue skies and PFNAD,
