Zman, I had a bad experience with topamax. I had great faith but it didn't work out. For about three days I was completely insane after starting it then that passed, but I began to experience strange smell and taste sensations. All in all I had a number of bad side effects, which I would have tolerated if it had worked, which it did not. I am chronic and therefore hard to treat, but topamax did absolutely nothing for me. Some people have reported success with this drug so you might give it a try.
